Why choose Wildlings Forest School for your next excursion?

Resilience

At Wildlings Forest School, children are encouraged to follow their curiosity and experiment without rushing. They learn through play, by trying, failing, and discovering at their own pace.

Connection

Children enjoy the wonders of nature while developing a deep sense of independence and eco-stewardship as they freely explore our beautiful forest school sites together.

Confidence

Children are trusted to learn how to use real hand tools to build their projects. These practical skills nurture their responsibility, confidence, and creativity, all within a supervised environment.

Here's what others have to say about their Wildlings excursions...

“Wildlings is a place for our children and educators to create, explore, invent and be anything we want to be. With support and guidance our children were encouraged and inspired to build and create in a beautiful tranquil spot by the water on the sunshine coast. A place where we get in touch with nature and our inner nature explorer. From cubbies, bridges, water rafts to mud slides, nature art and sawing wood you wont be disappointed”
Grace McCabe, Helping Hands Chancellor State College

“Wildlings Forest School allows children to be children. It allows children to be free in a beautiful, natural environment. It's an opportunity for children to get outdoors, explore the forest and engage in activities which extend exploration, imagination, risk taking and curiosity.  We have taken our vacation care group several times; participating in a variety of the programmed activities; all children have embraced the experiences in a way that suits them. It is a space where children get caught up in the wonder of just being a 'child'. The team that guide this experience are impressive and thoughtful about what they are presenting, respectful of the environment around them and encourage a sense of wonder and curiosity.
Kristin Bulger Matthew Flinders

The students of St Andrew's Anglican College Vacation Care stepped off the bus at the Petrie Creek Wildlings Forest School unaware of how amazing the adventure that laid ahead of them was going to be.  They arrived clean and in good spirits, however they left covered in mud and bubbling with enthusiasm and excitement over the 2 hour session they had just experienced. Everyone thought it was fantastic, Educators included!

The students rotated between cubby town, nature crafts and creek play activities.  Whilst the recent rain meant we couldn’t go ahead with the planned raft building activity, in its place the students (and some Educators) had a blast exploring the natural mudslides. Watching the students encourage each other, step out of their comfort zones and work as a team to bucket water up to the top of the slides was a proud moment for us as leaders.  Whilst some students showed initial hesitation to get dirty, there weren’t many students who weren’t covered in mud from their head down to their toes at the end of our session.

We are beyond excited in be going back to Wildlings again these Easter holidays, and are planning future visits also.

Thank you to Wildling's for creating such an amazing environment for all children to seek adventure.”
The team at St Andrew's OSHC
